newborn sessions
I love everything about photographing newborns and their families. From capturing their tiny fingers and toes to the loving interactions between family members, it brings me so much joy. I have been in your shoes…I know how much I cherish my own children’s newborn photos, and I want the same for you. I have created a luxury newborn session experience where I ensure that every detail is artistically and beautifully preserved for your family.
NEWBORNS ARE MY SPECIALTY
Welcoming a new baby is one of life’s sweetest milestones — and also one of the busiest. That’s why my newborn sessions are designed to feel calm, supported, and completely stress-free.
As a former Labor & Delivery nurse and mom of four, I understand newborns in a way that allows me to gently guide sessions with both confidence and care, preserving this chapter of your family’s story through beautiful, heartfelt images.

A SIMPLE, GUIDED EXPERIENCE
With over a decade of photography experience, I’ve created an easy, guided process from planning your session to helping choose how you’ll display your finished photos. You don’t have to figure anything out alone — I’ll walk you through every step so you can relax and simply enjoy this time with your baby
Sessions can take place in the comfort of your home or in my all-white natural light studio. I also provide a curated collection of heirloom gowns and swaddles, making styling effortless and beautiful.
FAMILY HEIRLOOMS - NOT JUST PHOTOS
These portraits are more than images on a screen — they’re heirlooms meant to be held, framed, and passed down through generations.
It’s truly an honor to be invited into such a meaningful season of your family’s life, and I would love to create something beautiful and lasting for yours.

YOUR BABY'S SAFETY COMES FIRST
Your baby’s comfort and safety are always my top priority.
My background in newborn care means I understand how babies breathe, regulate temperature, and respond to handling. I gently read their cues, allow plenty of time for breaks, and guide natural posing that keeps them comfortable and supported.
All wraps, fabrics, and surfaces are carefully sanitized before each session, and parents are always close by.
You can feel confident knowing your little one is cared for with both a nurturing touch and a deep understanding of newborn well-being.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When should I book my newborn session?
The best time to book is during your second trimester. We pencil in your session based on your due date, then adjust accordingly once baby arrives.
What if my baby arrives early or late?
That is expected. Your due date simply holds a spot on my calendar — we adjust once baby is here.
How old should my baby be for newborn photos?
Newborn sessions typically take place within the first 2–3 weeks after birth (if the baby is born full-term), when babies are still extra sleepy. However, beautiful newborn images can still be created with older babies too.
What if my baby is fussy?
That’s completely normal. Sessions are designed with plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and breaks. Some of the sweetest images happen during snuggly, awake moments.
Do parents and siblings need to be in the photos?
They don’t have to be — but I always encourage it. Your baby will treasure seeing how small they were in your arms someday.
What should we wear?
After booking, you’ll receive a styling guide with soft, neutral suggestions that photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your connection.
Are props or posed setups included?
My style is natural and connection-focused. Baby is gently guided into comfortable, supported positions and photographed in your arms, on a bed, or in simple, timeless setups.
Can grandparents be included?
Yes! Just let me know ahead of time so we can plan for a few special images together.

A NOTE ON NEWBORN SAFETY AND EXPERIENCE
Working with newborns is something I hold with deep care and responsibility.
Before becoming a professional photographer, I worked for seven years as a Labor & Delivery nurse, caring for mothers and newborns during birth and the immediate postpartum period. My medical background includes advanced training in newborn assessment and resuscitation, along with a strong understanding of how newborns breathe, regulate temperature, and respond to positioning.
Over the past 11+ years, I’ve combined that clinical knowledge with hands-on experience photographing hundreds of newborns in a calm, connection-focused style.
Because of this unique background, I’m passionate about not only creating beautiful images, but also helping raise the standard of safety education within the newborn photography industry. I recently developed a professional education program that teaches photographers the foundations of newborn safety and physiology — bridging the gap between posing skills and real medical understanding.
For families, this simply means you can relax knowing your baby is being handled by someone who understands both the art and the science of newborn care.
