Not Just for Moms
While these make an unforgettable Mother’s Day gift, they are just as meaningful for little ones.
The mini size is especially sweet — delicate, classic, and perfect for holding a photo of a parent, sibling, or grandparent close to their heart. It’s the kind of piece that becomes part of them… something they’ll never want to take off.
Don’t Have an Heirloom Portrait Yet?
There is still time!
New Heirloom Portrait dates have been added to the calendar in February and March, and portraits created during those sessions can be included in your locket. Detailed information on Heirloom Portrait Commissions can be found at the bottom of this page.
If you’ve been meaning to schedule heirloom portraits, this is the perfect reason.
Past clients are also welcome to choose a favorite image from their previous heirloom session for their locket.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I’ve had Heirloom Portraits taken but haven’t received my final gallery yet?
You can absolutely still preorder your locket. Once your gallery is ready, you’ll choose the image you’d like included.
Can I change the photos in the future?
Yes. If your family is growing or you want to update an image later on, we can reprint and reassemble your locket for a small fee.
What if I have more locket spaces than children?
A sibling photo, a parent, a grandparent, or even a beloved pet makes a beautiful addition. Some families also choose to leave one space a soft, classic white.

A START-TO-FINISH HEIRLOOM PORTRAIT EXPERIENCE
Each piece is designed to live beautifully in your home, not on a hard drive.
More than a Photo Session
An heirloom portrait is not simply a photo session—it is a finished work of art. From our first conversation to the final framed piece on your wall, every detail is approached with intention and care. The photography is only one part of the process; the true result is the artwork itself.

AUGUSTA'S ONLY BORN & RAISED LICENSED  PHOTOGRAPHER
I fell in love with heirloom portraits for the same reason you probably did—they feel like legacy. Through the Born & Raised Certification program, I trained under Anna Claire Collier, founder of Born & Raised Studio in Auburn, Alabama, and completed an in-depth review process to ensure my work meets the highest standards. I’m proud to be chosen to represent my area as part of this collaborative, nationally recognized program committed to delivering timeless, trusted portraits across the U.S.
The Heirloom Portrait
Heirloom portraits are formal, child-centered works of art inspired by traditional portraiture. They are intentionally simple, timeless in design, and created to age beautifully in your home.
Each portrait is carefully styled, thoughtfully composed, and meticulously finished to feel as though it has always been part of your family’s story.
Heirloom Portraits are designed for children who are 8 months (or sitting independently), and up. They are printed using museum-quality processes and finished with classic framing to best compliment the portrait.
The Comission Process
Families receive a private photo session for each child being photographed. Upon arriving to your appointment, we will have a curated wardrobe available for your child (if needed).
Once your child/children are dressed, we will begin the session. We will be sure to establish trust before we start taking pictures. I am comfortable with children of all temperaments and will find just the right way to connect with yours! You can expect your appointment to last 15-30 minutes.
From wardrobe guidance to final artwork placement, every step is considered, resulting in portraits that feel deeply personal, refined, and truly heirloom-worthy.
I accept a limited number of heirloom commissions each month to ensure every piece receives the care it deserves.

Add-on Sibling Portraits Policy:
Please know that individual portraits are our primary focus. I do my best to provide wonderful sibling portraits after individual portraits are photographed, but they are never a guarantee.

Prints
Prints are available for purchase separately through your online gallery. Fine Art & Deckled Prints are printed on beautiful archival papers that are museum-quality, 100% cotton, and acid free. These papers have a gorgeous texture to them, are resistant to yellowing and fading, and will last a lifetime. Deckled prints have carefully hand-torn edges that add a beautiful softness to classic portraits. It is my hope that your timeless portraits will be displayed in your home as art and treasured for generations!

Custom Composites
A Composite Portrait is a combination of multiple vignetted photos in one print. Composites are custom-designed and may contain multiple images of one child or single images of siblings.
